What James Had For Dinner

Friday, August 7, 2009

Hello Toronto

A whirlwind car shopping experience, a couple of airplanes, a daylong meeting/ scout and we were lucky enough to slide into a patio booth at Terroni -- "traditional Southern Italian food" -- for a late afternoon lunch. I'm not sure how traditional it is (or whether that's always a virtue) but the crust on James' "mangiabbun" pizza was thin and crisp with a smattering of fresh spicy sausage, mozzarella and rapini. Might have to try that topping at home -- think I will cook the rapini just a little more on my version. To start, "tagliere mezzo e mezzo" a tasty sampler of prosciutto, salame, cheeses, roasted pears, breadsticks, and honey drenched walnuts.

About Me

Dinner Diva
I'm just a self-taught home cook who likes to try new things. One day when things were a little slow and dinner looked better than usual I decided to post the results on Facebook. Then I did it again and again -- and well, here I am, another addition to the blogosphere. James, aside from being the "luckiest man alive" ;-), is my very tolerant boyfriend of nearly 10 years. I hope you enjoy sharing his dinner.
