These olive have been waiting in a dark corner, soaking in brine since last year. After I found fresh, uncured olives at the farmer's market I quickly layered them with lemons, jalapeños, and celery. I've been waiting and waiting and this week they will finally be ready to taste. Spicy, home cured olives.
I'm just a self-taught home cook who likes to try new things. One day when things were a little slow and dinner looked better than usual I decided to post the results on Facebook. Then I did it again and again -- and well, here I am, another addition to the blogosphere.
